Sat, Jan 25, 2025 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Blugold Football To Present Check To Shooting Victim Posted: Monday, January 17, 2005 Lauren Hesebeck, one of the surviving victims of the Nov. 21 Sawyer County shootings, will accept a check from the UW-Eau Claire football team for $1705.78 at halftime of Tuesday's basketball game in Zorn Arena between the UW-Eau Claire men's team and UW-River Falls. The Blugold football team sponsored a Kid's Night Out fundraiser on Dec. 17 to contribute to the relief fund that was established at the Dairy State Bank in Rice Lake to support the shooting victims and their families. Blugold football player Carter Crotteau lost his father and a brother in the shooting. Football coach Todd Hoffner will participate in the presentation which will also include Tim Jubie, the chief operating officer at Link Brothers Ford where three of the shooting victims were employed. - TP - |
