Fri, Dec 6, 2024 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Gymnasts Take John Zuerlein Invite Posted: Friday, February 25, 2005 MENOMONIE - The UW-Eau Claire gymnastics team won three of four events in winning the John Zuerlein Invitational held on the UW-Stout campus here today. The Blugolds finished with a score of 180.025 followed by Hamline University with a 176.050 and Stout with a 175.175. Alison Eagles (Sr.-Shoreview, MN/Mounds View) had a strong performance taking first in two events and winning the all-around competition. Eagles had her second-highest all-around score of the season with a 36.875. Eagles finished first on the vault with a 9.150 and on the balance beam with a 9.275. Brittany Adams (Fr.-Maple Grove, MN) took first on the uneven bars tying her season-high with a 9.325. Eagles finished second in the event followed by Lynn Morris (Jr.-Monticello, IN/Twin Lakes). Jenni Wick (Jr.-Sartell, MN) took second on the balance beam with a 9.200 followed by Theresa Lynch (Fr.-Vadnais Heights, MN/White Bear Lake). The Blugolds will be in action next when they compete in a quadrangular Friday on the Hamline campus. The meet is set to begin at 7 p.m. - JL - |
