(UWECBlugolds.com) - On the fourth day of the UW-Eau Claire women's tennis team's spring break trip, the Blugolds defeated The University of Scranton 8-1. Eau Claire improves to 10-4 on the season. The Blugolds won every match except at No. 6 singles. Taylor Heltne (So.-Inver Grove Heights, Minn./Simley) and Stephanie Wolf (Fr.-Verona, Wis./Verona Area) both went undefeated as they won with scores of 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 and No. 6 singles, respectively. On the doubles side, Emily Hiebl (Jr.-Wausau, Wis./East) and Wolf had the Blugolds’ best win, defeating their opponents 8-0 in the No. 3 spot. Tomorrow morning the Blugolds will wrap up their trip to South Carolina with a match against Centre College. |
