EAU CLAIRE - The UW-Eau Claire gymnastics team will host UW-Stout, UW-Whitewater and Winona State as part of the Eau Claire Invitational to be held Saturday at the McPhee Phy. Ed. Center.

The Blugolds come into the invite following a convincing win over UW-Oshkosh and Winona State last weekend. Alison Eagles (Sr.-Shoreview, MN/Mounds View) took first in the all-around, vault and balance beam competitions.

Stout opened their season with a 168.150-156.675 win over Winona State. The Blue Devils took first in four of five events with Rhian Paulson taking first in every event except the balance beam.

Stout followed with a fifth place finish at the New York Cup hosted by SUNY-Cortland. Ashley Timm was the top Blue Devil gymnast taking fifth in the all-around competition.

Whitewater opened their season last weekend with a 174.425-169.825 dual meet loss to Hamline University. Tracy Cummings was the top Warhawk gymnast with the top Whitewater score in the uneven bars, balance beam and all-around competitions.

Winona State opened their season with the 168-150-156.675 loss to Stout. The Warriors followed with a poor performance last weekend at Oshkosh finishing with a total score of only 121.525.
