Thu, Jan 16, 2025 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Softball Earns All-Academic Honor By: Paul Huset, Sports Information Student EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (UWECBlugolds.com) - Several UW-Eau Claire softball players proved they can excel in the classroom as well as on the field. The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) recently named 11 Blugolds as Division 3 scholar athletes, including Aleisha Harper, Brittany Bergquist, Emily Haluska, Emily Muller, Jenny Hess, Jess Freagon, Jess Hegseth, Katie Stalker, Samantha Weix, Sara Baumgartner and Tamara Zeman. Stalker was nominated for the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) scholar-athlete award last season. As a team, the Blugolds ranked 21st among 94 NFCA Division 3 all-academic teams with a collective GPA of 3.387. |
