All proceeds from this Friday's Kid's Night Out will go to the relief fund established in Rice Lake according to head coach Todd Hoffner who added that donations are also welcome. The Kid's Night Out will take place from 6 to 10 p.m. in the McPhee Physical Education Center on campus. This fun and safe activity is intended for children kindergarten through seventh grade and provides an escape for parents to enjoy a night on the town, shopping, dinner, movie or a quiet evening at home while their son(s) or daughter(s) participates in a variety of activities and games under the direction of Blugold players and coaches. Youngsters are encouraged to bring a swim suit. A concession stand is also available for the youngsters. Among the activities and games are basketball, swimming, relays, obstacle course, fitness area and videos. The cost is $10 per child. Children will not be permitted to leave until picked up by a parent or guardian. A first responder will be on duty. Advance registration is recommended but walk-in reservations will be accepted at the door. A registration form is available on-line at the athletics web site which is www.uwec.edu/athletics.
