Thu, Dec 5, 2024 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Gymnastics Finishes Fourth at John Zuerlein Invite By: Kevin Meinholz, Sports Information Director MENOMONIE, Wis. (UWECBlugolds.com) - The UW-Eau Claire gymnastics team came up short against three conference schools today, taking fourth place out of the four teams at the John Zuerlein Invitational at Johnson Fieldhouse. UW-La Crosse won the invite with 181.550 points while UW-Stout was second with 177.000. UW-Oshkosh finished third with 176.375 and the Blugolds scored 174.125. The Blugolds are now 2-7 on the season. Rachel Behmer (Fr.-Maple Grove, Minn./West Lutheran) had the Blugolds' highest finish of the night as she tied for second with an 8.975 on the uneven bars. Danielle Schulzetenberg (Fr.-Maple Grove, Minn.) finished fourth in the all-around competition with a 33.675 and had Eau Claire's best finish on the balance beam with a 9.275, in fifth place. On the vault, Molly Senske (Fr.-Eden Prairie, Minn.) had Eau Claire's highest finish, taking sixth with a 9.250 while RachelAnn Anderson (Fr.-Maple Grove, Minn.) was sixth in the floor exercise with a 9.300. The Blugolds will be in St. Peter, Minn. on Thursday for a dual meet against Gustavus Adolphus College. Action will get underway at 7 p.m. |
