Thu, Dec 5, 2024 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Gymnasts Come up Short in La Crosse By: Kevin Meinholz, Sports Information Director LA CROSSE, Wis. (UWECBlugolds.com) - The UW-Eau Claire gymnastics team came up short to UW-La Crosse 185.700-173.425 at Mitchell Hall today. Rachel Behmer (Fr.-Maple Grove, Minn./West Lutheran) had the Blugolds' best finish of the night as she took first on the uneven bars with a career-best 9.300. The mark also ties a season-high score for the Blugolds in the event. Tying for second on the balance beam was Danielle Schulzetenberg (Fr.-Maple Grove, Minn.) with a 9.400. She also led the Blugolds in the floor exercise with a career-best 9.250 as she took fifth place. Sarah Hulbert (Jr.-Waukesha, Wis./North) had Eau Claire's best finish on the vault, taking fourth place with a 9.275. The Blugolds now have an overall record of 1-3 on the season. Next up, Eau Claire will back in La Crosse next Friday for the Gershon McLellan Invite at 6:30 p.m. UW-Oshkosh and UW-La Crosse will also compete in the meet. |
