Wed, Dec 17, 2025 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Gymnasts Claim Conference And National Honors Posted: Wednesday, March 25, 2009 ST. PAUL, Minn. - Three UW-Eau Claire gymnasts recently earned National Collegiate Gymnastics Association Academic All-American honors while two others received recognition from the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Leah Gilseth (Sr.-Champlin, Minn./Champlin Park), Staci Solin (Jr.-Chippewa Falls, Wis./Chi-Hi) and Anna Sutherland (Sr.-Arden Hills, Minn./Roseville) all received Academic All-American honors following last weekend's national championship. The group joins only 13 other Blugolds in program history who have received the honor. Theresa Lynch (Sr.-Vadnais Heights, Minn./White Bear) earned All-Conference recognition with her sixth place finish in the on the uneven bars at this year's WIAC Championship in Winona, Minnesota. Diana Eisenberg (Fr.-Green Bay, Wis./Notre Dame Academy) earned All-Sportsmanship honors as well, which recognizes individuals who display exemplary sportsmanship throughout the season. - KM - |
