Fri, Dec 6, 2024 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Gymnasts Close Season At Nationals Posted: Friday, March 20, 2009 ST. PAUL, Minn. - The UW-Eau Claire gymnastics team wrapped up its season today with Sarah Hulbert (So.-Waukesha, Wis./North) and Theresa Lynch (Sr.-Vadnais Heights, Minn./White Bear) competing at the 2009 National Collegiate Gymnastics Association Championship at Hamline University. Both Blugolds competed as specialists at the national championship. Hulbert participated in the vault and finished in 18th place overall with a 9.425. Lynch tied for 18th with 9.175 on the uneven bars. Only the top 14 competitors on each event (including all ties) advance to tomorrow's individual event finals, also to be held at Hamline University. UW-La Crosse defended their NCGA national championship in the team competition today. MIT senior Julia Zimmerman was the all-around champion, the second time she won the honor in the last three years. - KM - |
