Please include a source of proof (newspaper, yearbook, etc.) to support your claim. ![]() Sun, Feb 16, 2025 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Two Receive Men's Cross Country All-Academic Honors Posted: Thursday, February 26, 2009 NEW ORLEANS, La. - The UW-Eau Claire men's cross country team was honored today with two athletes being named to the NCAA Division III All-Academic Team by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). Jules Miller (Sr.-Green Bay, Wis./East) and Tom Breitbach (So.-Muskego, Wis.) both received recognition on the team. The award honors those student-athletes who have succeeded both academically and athletically. To be eligible for the award a student-athlete must carry a minimum 3.5 cumulative grade point average and must finish in the top 25 percent of the field at their respective NCAA regional meet. Miller, a public communications major with a 3.53 GPA, competed in six different events this season and had his best time at the WIAC Championships. He completed the race with a time of 25:04, taking 10th place overall. Breitbach, who holds a 3.86 GPA while majoring in broadfield social studies, ran in six races this season. His best time also came at the WIAC Championships, taking 32nd place with a time of 25:52. - KM - |
