The second period proved scoreless for the Blugolds again as UW-River Falls' Jessica Thompson scored with a little less than two minutes left in the period to put the Falcons up by three.

River Falls wouldn't let up on the Blugold net in the third period as Brittany Erickson scored at 6:36 to take a four-goal lead. The Falcons would strike again 34 seconds later as Abby Sunderman scored the fifth goal of the night to end the game with a score of 5-0 in favor of the Falcons.
