Please include a source of proof (newspaper, yearbook, etc.) to support your claim. ![]() Tue, Feb 18, 2025 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Men's Cross Country Set For WIAC Championship Posted: Friday, October 31, 2008 EAU CLAIRE, Wis. - The UW-Eau Claire men's cross country team is ready for the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship on Saturday at the Wisconsin River Golf Club in Stevens Point. A year ago at the championship the Blugolds finished sixth out of nine teams, scoring 177 points. Four out of the top seven runners from last year's meet will once again compete for the Blugolds. Chris Wirtz (Jr.-Weston, Wis./DC Everest) led last year's team, finishing 26th overall. Coming in 30th place last year was Kevin Hall (Sr.-Green Bay, Wis./Preble) who will also run for Eau Claire this year. Andy Warren (Sr.-Kenosha, Wis./Bradford) and Ben Pearson (Jr.-Clinton, Wis.) will once again run in the championship. Last year they finished sixth and seventh, respectively. Jules Miller (Sr.-Green Bay, Wis./East), along with seven other Blugolds, will also run at the meet. Miller has been the Blugolds' top performer this season. The meet is set to begin at noon. - KM - |
