UW-Eau Claire finished the day with all eight runners finishing 12th or better. Adam Wolfe (Sr.-Marshfield, Wis.) crossed the finish line first for the Blugolds with a time of 26:29. The Blugolds did exceptionally well against the runners from UW-Stout and UW-River Falls with Eau Claire runners sweeping the top six spots. Jeremy Kieser (Fr.-Verona, Wis.) took second place overall with a time of 26:55. Shortly afterwards, Brian Riley (Fr.-Chippewa Falls, Wis./Chi-Hi) earned third place overall with a time of 27:00. Charlie Daehler (So.-Milwaukee, Wis./Whitefish Bay) finished the race fourth with a time of 27:27. The final four Blugold runners all finished within less than 30 seconds of each other. Next up for the Blugolds will be the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship in Stevens Point on November 1 at noon. - MT - |
