Thu, Jan 23, 2025 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Women's Tennis Defeats I-94 Rival Stout Posted: Thursday, September 27, 2007 EAU CLAIRE, Wis. - The UW-Eau Claire women's tennis team won 7-2 over UW-Stout at the Olson Outdoor Courts in Eau Claire today. The Blugolds are now 11-3 overall, with a 5-2 dual meet record, and are 3-0 in Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference dual meet play. In doubles, the number No. 1 team of Gina Dahl (So.-Fort Atkinson) and Sarah Riordan (Sr.-Appleton/North) got an 8-3 victory over Stout's Allie Hinman and Natalie Hahn. The No. 2 team of Kristie Carlson (Sr.-Arden Hills, MN/Mounds View) and Brenna McCormick (So.-Greendale) won with an 8-4 decision over Kiersten Johnson and Michelle Hohl. The No. 3 duo of Liz Deprey (Sr.-Green Bay/Notre Dame) and Erin Welch (So.-Tomah, WI) fell to Jodie Czech and Lindsey Luberda by a score of 6-8. The Blugolds played well in singles, losing only one match today. Riordan lost to Stout's Hinman in No. 1 singles with scores of 2-6, 6-3, and 13-11. In No. 2 singles, Dahl won with scores of 6-4 and 6-3, while Carlson won with scores of 6-4 and 6-0 in No. 3 play. In the No. 4 spot, McCormick won with scores of 6-4 and 6-1, and Welch won with scores of 7-5 and 6-1. In No. 6 singles, Deprey defeated her opponent 6-2 and 6-0.
