Rachel Ver Voort, Outside Hitter, 5-8, Senior, Madison, Wis./Middleton
Ver Voort, who was named to the UW-River Falls' Trick-or-Treat Classic All-Tournament team, helped the Blugolds to a 4-0 record at the invite this weekend. She finished with 40 kills to lead the Blugolds, averaging 3.64 per set, while also coming away with 27 digs, the second most on the team. Ver Voort also had five service aces and five block assists.

October 18, 2010-October 24, 2010

Blair Murphy, Libero, 5-7, Senior, Hermantown, Minn.
Murphy led the Blugolds with 88 digs in five matches this week and was named to the Trinity University Invitational's All-Tournament team Saturday. In Wednesday's match against River Falls, Murphy had a match-high 15 digs and the Blugolds won 3-0 to win a share of the WIAC Championship. The Blugolds also went 3-1 at the Trinity Invitational winning once on Friday and twice on Saturday. Murphy totaled 73 digs in the four matches and had three service aces, six set assists and one kill.

Liz Amici, Middle Blocker, 6-1, Junior, Whitewater, Wis.
In three matches this weekend, Amici led the Blugolds with a .427 hitting percentage and totaled team-highs with 38 kills and 12 blocks. As the Blugolds defeated No. 10 UW-Oshkosh 3-1 on Friday, Amici led the match with 18 kills and came away with three solo blocks and four block assists, while hitting .533. She also led the Blugolds in two matches Saturday with seven kills against 14th-ranked St. Thomas and 13 kills against Viterbo University.

October 4, 2010-October 10, 2010

Liz Amici, Middle Blocker, 6-1, Junior, Whitewater, Wis.
Amici led the Blugolds with 40 kills in five matches as the team wrapped up the week with a 3-2 record. The Blugolds' only losses came against ranked opponents, No. 2 Juniata College (Pa.) and No. 11 UW-Whitewater. In three out of the five matches, Amici led the Blugolds in kills. She also accumulated 18 block assists for the week to lead the Blugolds while also coming away with four digs and one set assist.

September 27, 2010-October 3, 2010

Blair Murphy, Libero, 5-7, Senior, Hermantown, Minn.
Murphy led the Blugolds in digs in two matches that the Blugolds won on the road this weekend. In a 3-2 victory over UW-Platteville on Friday, Murphy had 23 three digs while picking up two set assists. She also had a team-high dig total of 18 Saturday as the Blugolds beat UW-La Crosse 3-1. She also recorded one set assist.

In just one match this week the Blugolds defeated UW-Superior 3-0 to improve to 9-3 overall and 3-1 in WIAC play. Ver Voort recorded a match-high 15 kills and hit .452 while also tying for a match-best 11 digs. She also recorded one block assist.

Danielle Lucia, Middle Blocker, 5-8, Senior, St. Cloud, Minn./Apollo
Playing 11 sets in three matches, Lucia helped the Blugolds go 2-1 this week against WIAC opponents. In a 3-0 win over UW-Stout on Wednesday, Lucia hit .385, accumulating six kills, while she had a match-high three block assists. In Saturday's 3-1 win over UW-Stevens Point she hit .381 and had 11 kills, the second most on the team. On Friday in a 3-1 loss to UW-Whitewater, she led the team with 10 kills and also accumulated four block assists. For the week, she finished with a .361 hitting percentage with 27 kills. She also had eight block assists and three service aces.

Rachel Ver Voort, Outside Hitter, 5-8, Senior, Madison, Wis./Middleton
The 12th-ranked Blugolds went 3-1 this weekend as they took second place at the Augsburg College Invitational. At the tournament, Ver Voort led the team with 55 kills and had a hitting percentage of .326. She also was second-best on the team with 41 digs and had three service aces and four block assists. For her efforts, she was named to the 10-person All-Tournament team.

August 30, 2010-September 5, 2010

Blair Murphy, Libero, 5-7, Senior, Hermantown, Minn.
Murphy was named to the All-Tournament team this weekend at the Blugolds' Labor Day Classic after helping the Blugolds win three out of four matches. She finished the weekend with 91 digs, averaging 6.5 per set, while playing in 14 out of 16 sets. Murphy also finished with six service aces.
