With the Blugolds competing at the WIAC Team Tournament this weekend, DeMario found success in both singles and doubles play against UW-Oshkosh. She won 6-2, 6-1 in the No. 5 singles spot while her and partner Karlie Day picked up an 8-3 No. 3 doubles win.

Hiebl played in a close No. 3 singles match at UW-River Falls this week but came out on top to help the Blugolds to a 9-0 victory. She dropped the first set 6-2 against Jodi VanDeReit but came back to win 7-5 (4), 10-6. In doubles play, her and partner Stephanie Wolf won 8-3 in the No. 3 spot.

Frassetto and Bachmeier earned a No. 2 doubles win Saturday as the Blugolds defeated St. Catherine University (Minn.) 6-3. The pair won 8-2 over St. Catherine's Lauren Beadnell and Skye Coughlin. On Friday, the duo played a close match in the No. 2 spot but fell just short 9-7 against their College of St. Scholastica (Minn.) counterparts.

On the Blugolds' spring break trip, Wolf played five singles and five doubles matches. In doubles action, she won all five with partner Emily Hiebl in the No. 3 spot. They fell in just seven games the entire week, and their best win came Wednesday as the pair won 8-0. In singles play, Wolf went 3-2, playing two matches in the No. 6 spot and three at No. 5. She opened the week with two wins at No. 6, then went 1-2 at No. 5 in the final three matches. Her one win in the No. 5 spot was a 6-0, 6-0 victory while she also won 6-0, 6-0 on March 21 at No. 6. As a team, the Blugolds were 4-1 on the week.

Singles: Megan Born, Junior, Antigo, Wis.
Born won two matches this weekend at No. 1 singles, defeating River Falls' Jenny Paxton 6-3, 6-2 on Tuesday and UW-La Crosse's Kelly Stadum 6-2, 6-2 on Saturday. She has won four matches in a row, improving her overall record to 9-4. She finished the regular season 5-1 at No. 1 singles in the WIAC.

Gillman lost just one game as she defeated her UW-Oshkosh opponent 6-1, 6-0 in the No. 3 singles spot on Friday in the Blugolds' 6-3 victory. She has won four out of her last five matches and is 4-2 on the season.
Doubles: Gretchen Bachmeier, Sophomore, Eau Claire, Wis./North & Mary Frassetto, Freshman, Oshkosh, Wis./West
Bachmeier and Frassetto recorded an 8-4 No. 3 doubles victory as the Blugolds defeated UW-Oshkosh 6-3 Friday. The duo, which is 7-3 on the year, has won its last five straight matches.

Singles: Megan Born, Junior, Antigo, Wis.
Born came back to defeat her Stevens Point opponent in the No. 1 spot on Friday night. After falling 7-6 to open the match, Born won the next two sets 6-4, 6-1, helping the Blugolds to an 8-1 victory over the Pointers. Born is now 2-1 in WIAC competition this season at No. 1.

Gillman and Heltne picked up an 8-0 win Friday in the No. 2 spot to help the Blugolds to an 8-1 victory over UW-Stevens Point. The duo is now 2-1 at No. 2 in WIAC competition and has won five of its last seven matches.

Facing an NCAA Division I opponent, DeMario claimed a victory in the No. 6 spot against UW-Green Bay on Saturday. She played a close match, winning the first set 7-6 (7-3) but falling in the second 6-0. She then went on to claim the match victory in the super tiebreaker 10-7. She has won two consecutive matches and is continually improving her play each week.

Bachmeier and Frassetto have won three consecutive No. 3 doubles matches, most recently against NCAA Division I opponent UW-Green Bay on Saturday. The pair won that match 8-5 after coming off an 8-1 win earlier in the day against St. Norbert College.

Singles: Taylor Heltne, Sophomore, Inver Grove Heights, Minn./Simley
Heltne came from behind to defeat UW-Stout's Abby Werwie at No. 2 singles as the Blugolds went on to beat the Blue Devils 8-1 Thursday. After dropping the opening set 6-4, Heltne won 6-3, 6-1 to win her second match in a row.
Doubles: Megan Born, Junior, Antigo, Wis. & Emily Hiebl, Junior, Wausau, Wis./East
The duo of Born and Hiebl won their No. 1 doubles match 8-5 as the Blugolds went on to defeat WIAC rival UW-Stout 8-1 on Thursday. The victory helped the Blugolds sweep the Blue Devils in doubles play and was the pair's second consecutive No. 1 doubles win.

Bachmeier picked up one win in two No. 4 singles matches this weekend, defeating her St. Benedict opponent 6-4, 6-1 as the Blugolds went on to win 7-2. She also came up just short in a supertiebreaker against Luther College as she fell 4-6, 6-3, 10-8. Her play over week one improved tremendously as well.

The No. 2 duo of Gillman and Heltne won 8-2 against St. Benedict as the Blugolds won 7-2 as a team. Facing a tough Luther College team, they fell just short, 8-6, but played consistently the entire weekend.

Born played consistently in four matches this weekend as the Blugolds opened the 2010-11 season. She took third place at the Warhawk Invite on Saturday and recorded a 7-6 (7-5), 6-4 victory on a dual against the Warhawks on Friday. She finished the weekend with a 3-1 record.

Gillman and Heltne showed great improvement over the weekend as they went 2-1 at the Warhawk Invite. The duo played in a tough No. 1 doubles division and nearly upset the eventual champion from La Crosse in the first round, falling in a super tiebreaker.
