2011-12 Gymnastics Athletes of the Week

February 20, 2012-February 26, 2012

Specialist: Molly Senske, Junior, Eden Prairie, Minn.
Senske helped the Blugolds defeat UW-Oshkosh 183.000-178.575, coming back after three weeks off due to an injury. She competed in two events and took second in both. In the floor exercise, she scored a season-high 9.450 and was second on the vault with 9.275.

All-Around: Danielle Schulzetenberg, Junior, Maple Grove, Minn.
Schulzetenberg won three events and took first in the all-around competition as the Blugolds defeated UW-Oshkosh 183.000-178.575. She recorded season-best marks in the all-around, floor exercise, uneven bars and balance beam. Schulzetenberg was first in the all-around with a score of 36.750 and had a 9.600 in the floor exercise. On the balance beam, she recorded a 9.575 and finished with a 9.325 on the vault. She also had a season-high 8.250 on the uneven bars as she took ninth place.

February 6, 2012-February 12, 2012

Specialist: RachelAnn Anderson, Sophomore, Maple Grove, Minn.
At the UW-Whitewater Triangular on Sunday, Anderson had the Blugolds' best finish in the floor exercise. She finished the event in third place with a career-high score of 9.575. Anderson also was 13th on the balance beam with a score of 8.850.

All-Around: Olivia Aschenbrenner, Sophomore, Cedarburg, Wis./Grafton
At the UW-Whitewater Triangular this weekend, Aschenbrenner had the Blugolds' best finish as she tied for second in the all-around competition with a season-high score of 37.150, a half-point from her career-best mark. She also led the Blugolds on the vault (fifth place, 9.325), uneven bars (tied for fourth place, 9.300) and on the balance beam (eighth place, 9.150). Her scores on the vault and bars were career-highs. She also just missed her career-best mark of 9.400 in the floor exercise as she came away with a score of 9.375, which was a season-high.

January 30, 2012-February 5, 2012

Specialist: Michaela McCamey, Sophomore, Dayton, Ohio
In two meets this week, McCamey competed in a total of six events. At Stout on Tuesday, she finished in fifth place on both the uneven bars and on the balance beam. She recorded a season-high score of 9.075 on the bars at Stout.

All-Around: Olivia Aschenbrenner, Sophomore, Cedarburg, Wis./Grafton
In two meets this week, Aschenbrenner led the Blugolds in the all-around competition twice. At UW-Stout on Tuesday, she took third in the all-around with a season-high score of 36.675 while finishing seventh with a score of 35.775 at UW-La Crosse's 31st Annual Gershon/McLellan Invitational on Friday.

January 9, 2012-January 15, 2012

Specialist: Danielle Schulzetenberg, Junior, Maple Grove, Minn.
Competing in three events Friday at the UW-Eau Claire Invite, Schulzetenberg helped the Blugolds to a victory at the invite. She won the balance beam with a score of 9.400 and took second in two other events, the vault and floor exercise. She finished with scores of 9.450 and 9.375 in the respective events.

All-Around: Olivia Aschenbrenner, Sophomore, Cedarburg, Wis./Grafton
Aschenbrenner helped the Blugolds to a victory at their home invite Friday as she took second in the all-around competition. She finished with a score of 35.825. Aschenbrenner took seventh on the beam with a score of 9.025, eighth in the floor exercise with a 9.100, ninth on the uneven bars with an 8.575 and 13th on the vault with a 9.125.

January 2, 2012-January 8, 2012

Specialist: Diana Eisenberg, Balance Beam, Senior, Green Bay, Wis./Notre Dame Academy
Eisenberg had a strong performance on the balance beam as the Blugolds opened the season at the NCAA Division I Central Michigan Quad Meet. She finished the beam in 10th place with a score of 9.250.

All-Around: CeCe Solem, Junior, Mendota Heights, Minn./Henry Sibley
As the Blugolds opened the season at the NCAA Division I Central Michigan Quad Meet, Solem took seventh place in the all-around competition. She scored a 34.350 after taking 19th on the balance beam, 21st on the vault and floor exercise and 24th on the uneven bars.
