2008-09 Golf Athletes of the Week

April 20, 2009-April 26, 2009

K.R. Rucker, Freshman, Eau Claire, Wis./Memorial
This week at Gustavus Adolphus College's Bobby Krig Invitational, Rucker finished tied for 21st out of 84 golfers to lead the Blugolds as they finished in eighth out of 15 teams.

April 13, 2009-April 19, 2009

Ryan Grip, Sophomore, Wausau, Wis./East
With the Blugolds kicking off their spring season with two tournaments, Grip tied for second at both. On Thursday in the Blugolds' Spring Invitational, which they won, Grip finished with a +1 score of 73 to tie for second. He also tied for second with five others with a +3 score of 74 at the Blue Devil Invitational on Friday, where the Blugolds took third.

Ben Ziemann, Junior, Eau Claire, Wis./Memorial
In the Blugolds' opening tournament this weekend, Ziemann led the team with a +3 score of 75, finishing tied for eighth overall. The first round of the St. John's Fall Invitational Saturday was washed out, but the Blugolds found themselves in seventh out of 19 teams at the completion Sunday.
