2008 Cross Country Athletes of the Week

October 20, 2008-October 26, 2008

Adam Wolfe, Senior, Marshfield, Wis.
Wolfe took first place this weekend at the Lake Wissota Invite, leading the field by more than 25 seconds. He finished the 8K race with a time of 26:29 and led the Blugolds to a first place finish.

October 13, 2008-October 19, 2008

Brent Kann, Junior, Chippewa Falls, Wis.
Kann was the top Blugold finisher this weekend at the Jim Drews Invitational, hosted by UW-La Crosse. He finished 45th overall with a time of 26:11 as the Blugolds finished 13th out of 25 teams.

September 29, 2008-October 5, 2008

Jules Miller, Senior, Green Bay, Wis./East
Jules Miller finished as the top finisher from the WIAC at the Blugold Open on Friday as the Blugolds took third place out of the 19 teams. He took 10th place with a time of 25:37.

September 22, 2008-September 28, 2008

Jules Miller, Senior, Green Bay, Wis./East
This weekend Miller led the Blugolds to a sixth place finish out of 31 teams at the Roy Griak Invitational, hosted by the University of Minnesota. Miller completed the race with a time of 26:28 in 24th place overall.

September 8, 2008-September 14, 2008

Chris Wirtz, Junior, Weston, Wis./D.C. Everest
Wirtz won the UW-Whitewater Invitational this Saturday to lead the Blugolds to a first place finish out of 10 teams. He finished with a time of 27:42, 18 seconds ahead of the rest of the field.
