MENOMONIE, Wis. (UWECBlugolds.com) - The UW-Eau Claire men's indoor track and field team competed in UW-Stout's Warren Bowlus Open today.

No team scores were kept at the meet but the Blugolds did well as they won three out of 17 events.

Running, the Blugolds secured victories in the 600-meter run and the 200-meter dash, along with the second and third spots in both events. In the 600 event, Tim Braunschweig (Sr.-Mukwonago, Wis.) won with a time 1:24.65 and Patrick Mackin (So.-Green Bay, Wis./Notre Dame Academy) and Nate Kelly (So.-Green Bay, Wis./Ashwaubenon) tied for first in the 200-meter with a time of 23.37.

In the field, Andrew Storsveen (Jr.-Winona, Minn.) won the high jump with a height of 1.87 meters (6-1.50). In the shot put, Joe Lilek (So.-Tomahawk, Wis.) took second with a toss of 14.73 meters (48-4.00).

The Blugolds also had four other finishes of fifth place today.

Up next, Eau Claire will compete in two meets in Stevens Point. Friday the Blugolds will compete in the UW-Stevens Point Multi while they will be in the Eastbay Invite Saturday.
