Becca Carstensen (Sr.-Eau Claire/Memorial) was named the Most Valuable Player and the Best Offensive Player and given the Hustle Award. Carstensen led the Blugolds in kills, service aces and total blocks. She finished her Blugold career with the most blocking assists and total blocks in school history. She also finished fifth in service aces with 177 and seventh in attacking percentage at .297. Shanna Berger (So.-Baldwin/Baldwin-Woodville) was named the Best Defensive Player. Berger led the team in digs with 508 and finished sixth in the conference. Heather Harnell (Fr.-Minnetonka, MN) was named the Rookie of the Year. Harnell played in all 121 games finishing second on the team in digs with 285 and third in assists with 42. Jenny Wolter (Jr.-Osceola) was given the Most Inspirational Award while Alicia Lierman (Fr.-Oconto Falls) was named the Most Improved. Wolter, Berger and Molly Menard (Jr.-Eau Claire/Memorial) were named captains for the 2005 season. - JL - |
