Please include a source of proof (newspaper, yearbook, etc.) to support your claim. ![]() Tue, Feb 18, 2025 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Men's Track & Field Competes At UW-Platteville Posted: Saturday, February 16, 2008 PLATTEVILLE, Wis. - The UW-Eau Claire men's track and field team competed today in the UW-Platteville Track and Field Meet. The only first place finish was the 4x400 meter relay team. The 4x400 meter relay team easily took first with a time of 3:22.15. The Blugolds' Tim Braunschweig (So.-Mukwonago, WI) finished third in the 400 meter dash with a time of 50.65. Brian Christ (Sr.-Arcadia, WI) placed fifth in the 400 with a time of 50.77 seconds. In the 55 meter dash, Zach Lee (Fr.-Ladysmith, WI) finished fourth with a time of 6.57 seconds. Frankie Adams (Jr.-Burnsville, MN) was right behind Lee in fifth with a time of 6.58. Chris Wirtz (So.-Weston, WI/D.C. Everest) finished fourth in the one mile run. Wirtz had a time of 4:22.01. The Blugolds had many runners in the 800 meter run. Tony Carr (Jr.-Menomonie, WI) was the highest finisher with a fourth place finish. Carr ran a 1:57.33. In the field events, the Blugolds' Sam Johnson (Jr.-Deer Park, WI/Amery) placed second in the weight throw with a throw of 18.19 meters. Tim Lauer (So.-Whitewater, WI) finished sixth with a throw of 14.60 meters. Lauer also competed in the shot put. He finished seventh with a throw of 14.26 meters. The Blugolds had many competitors in the pole vault. Nick Desotelle (Jr.-Weston, WI/D.C. Everest) was the highest finisher in fourth place with a vault of 4.60 meters. Jae Erickson (Fr.-Green Bay, WI/Ashwaubenon) was right behind Desotelle in fifth place. Erickson also had a vault of 4.60 meters, but had one extra jump. Josh Boehm (Sr.-Mosinee, WI) was seventh with a vault of 4.30 meters. Next up for the Blugolds is the UW-Stevens Point Invite next Saturday. The event starts at 11 a.m. -SB- |
