After Saturday's 2-1 victory, the Blugolds moved to 4-2 overall and 2-0 in conference play. After waiting to score until midway through the third period in Friday night's game, the Blugolds wasted no time on Saturday scoring at 5:27 of the first period. Meghan Lorenz (Fr.-Minnetonka, MN/Wayzata) and Shannon Nelson (Fr.-Blaine, MN) teamed up for the goal with Nelson assisting Lorenz. However, the Blugold's lead would not last for long as Concordia's Alisha Java scored a little under a minute and half later at 6: 49 of the first period. The Blugolds would continue to pressure the Falcon's net with shots throughout the first period as they would end up with 26 shots on goal, but none of the shots resulted in goals. The score remained tied after two periods of play, but the Blugolds took the lead early in the third period. Christine Dickinson (Fr.-Layton, UT/Shattuck St. Mary's) scored the go ahead goal for the Blugolds at 1:53 of the third period. Dickinson was assisted by Kristin Faber (Fr.-Austin, MN). The goal was Dickinson's second of the season which ties her for the team lead with three other Blugolds. The Blugolds held on to the lead for the remainder of the game as they limited the Falcons to three shots on goal in the third period. The Falcons Pulled their goalie with 40 seconds left it in the game, but they were unable to score with the extra skater on the ice. Neither team was able to score a power play goal on Saturday as both the Blugolds and the Falcons went 0-3 with the skater advantage.
