Christ picked up two wins at 184 pounds this week as the Blugolds split, defeating UW-Platteville 24-16 on Wednesday while falling 37-6 to St. Cloud State (Minn.) on Saturday. Against his Platteville opponent, he won by injury default while he picked up a win over Mic Berg of St. Cloud, who is ranked fifth in NCAA Division II, by pinning him in 4:19. Christ is now 8-1 on the season with seven of his wins coming from pins.

Joe Pitsch, Junior, Oshkosh, Wis./North
Pitsch was undefeated this weekend, winning three matches at the UW-Oshkosh Duals. He opened with a victory against Maranatha Baptist Bible College, recording a pin in 1:13. Against his Milwaukee School of Engineering opponent later in the day, he won with a 7-4 decision while he pinned his Wheaton College (Ill.) opponent in 1:49 to improve to 6-4 on the season. As a team, the Blugolds went 2-1 this weekend.

Pitsch picked up a 4-3 victory at 17th-ranked UW-Oshkosh in the heavyweight division Wednesday, but the Blugolds came up short to the Titans 27-16. His victory came against Jason LaPlante. He scored his points off of two takedowns.

Tyler Kennedy, 184 Pounds, Sophomore, Cottage Grove, Minn./Park
Kennedy won the 184 pound C2 division at the Auggie-Brute-Adidas Open this weekend, where more than 500 wresters were in competition. He opened with a bye and then won by decision 9-7 in his first match while pinning his opponent in 8:50 to win the championship.

Matthew Rieckhoff, 184 Pounds, Freshman, Wausau, Wis./D.C. Everest
Rieckhoff opened his collegiate career on Nov. 6 with a 6-5 win at 184 pounds over Lakeland College's Chris Weber. His win by decision came in the closing seconds of the match. The Blugolds came up just short in the season-opener, falling 25-24.
