2010-11 Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week

February 14, 2011-February 20, 2011

Track: Jordanne Greenup, Junior, Fridley, Minn.
Greenup was part of two wins this weekend at UW-Stevens Point's Eastbay Invitational. She won the 55-meter dash with a time of 7.43 seconds and anchored the winning 4x400-meter relay team that finished with an NCAA Division III provisional qualifying time of 3:58.99, almost seven seconds in front of the rest of the field.

February 7, 2011-February 13, 2011

Field: Julia Baranek, Junior, Port Washington, Wis.
This weekend at the UW-Platteville Invitational, Baranek won the high jump with an NCAA Division III provisional qualifying mark of 1.67 meters (5-5.75). She also took second in the triple jump with a distance of 10.86 meters (36-4).

January 31, 2011-February 6, 2011

Track: Kim Miresse, Junior, Waukesha, Wis./North
At UW-Stevens Point's Pointer Invitational this Saturday, the Blugolds took second out of 13 teams. In the 55-meter hurdles, Miresse took first place with a time of 8.37 seconds, an NCAA Division III provisional qualifying time.

Field: Liz Amici, Senior, Whitewater, Wis.
At UW-Stevens Point's Pointer Invitational this Saturday, Amici won in the pentathlon with a score of 3,113, an NCAA Division III provisional qualifying total. As a team, the Blugolds took second out of 13 teams.

January 24, 2011-January 30, 2011

Field: Brittany Frederick, Junior, Green Bay, Wis./Preble
Frederick won one event while taking second in another at this weekend's Warren Bowlus Open at UW-Stout. In the weight throw, she took first place with a school-record distance of 16.91 meters (55-5.75), almost six feet better than the second-place finisher and an NCAA Division III provisional qualifying mark. In the shot put, she was second with a toss of 12.07 meters (39-7.25), just one foot away from the top spot.

January 17, 2011-January 23, 2011

Track: Jordanne Greenup, Junior, Fridley, Minn.
At the UW-Platteville Triangular this weekend, Greenup won the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.18 and also had the top time in the 55-meter dash preliminaries but did not compete in the final.

Field: Brittany Frederick, Junior, Green Bay, Wis./Preble
At the UW-Platteville Triangular this weekend, Frederick won the weight throw with an NCAA Division III provisional qualifying mark of 15.82 meters (51-11) while also taking second in the shot put with a distance of 11.69 meters (38-4.25).
