2010-11 Golf Athletes of the Week

October 4, 2010-October 10, 2010

Loren Churness, Senior, Durand, Wis.
Churness led the Blugolds last weekend at the Gustavus Adolphus Twin Cities Classic. He finished tied for fifth place with 220 strokes at the three day event.

September 27, 2010-October 3, 2010

Loren Churness, Senior, Durand, Wis.
Churness led the Blugolds as he tied for first place at the Milwaukee School of Engineering Fall Invitational this weekend where the Blugolds took first place out of 15 teams. He shot 145 (+2) at the two-day event.

September 20, 2010-September 26, 2010

Loren Churness, Senior, Durand, Wis.
Churness tied for third place with 147 strokes at the Frank Wrigglesworth Blugold Collegiate Invitational this weekend, where the Blugolds finished in fourth place out of 13 teams. Churness shot 73 (+1) on day one and 74 (+2) on day two.

Tim McCormick, Sophomore, Madison, Wis./Memorial
McCormick took fourth place overall as the Blugolds finished in second place out of 21 teams at the 2010 Saint John's Fall Invitational this weekend. He recorded 147 strokes (+3) as the Blugolds totaled 605 as a team.

Loren Churness, Junior, River Falls, Wis.
Churness tied for 11th place with teammate Nick Weber to help the Blugolds tie for fourth place overall at the Augsburg College Fall Invitational. On day two, he led the Blugolds with a 74 to make his two-day total 154.
